A Ball Of Tension

by Tom

I am really not sure if this is exactly what I am currently thinking it is but I decided just to share. I live in a big city with quite tough traffic and of course I have to drive to work and back home.

I noticed that while I drive I am always tensed. This tension crawls from the base of my backbone up to the shoulders and remains there until I get out of the car.

Another strange reaction emerges every time a critical situation happens or is close to happen on the road. I can just describe it as a ball of tension coming from all over my body and concentrating in my heart and stomach areas. It is very difficult to get rid of it. Some times I feel it behind my chest, some times just above my stomach where the diaphragm is.

I do not know an effective way to relieve it but know that this is definitely something I do not need in my body.

Has anybody else experienced such physical effects of stress?
Can anybody give me a piece of advice how to relieve this tension ball?
