How to gain weight is a topic which is almost always ignored by the majority of authors. Everybody focuses on how to loose weight.

However one of the most common effects of stress is loosing weight as a result of irregular nutrition. Stress makes us do many strange things and one of these is that we completely forget the primary needs of our physical body.

Thus I decided to give you here several useful tips of how to gain some weight and get back the normal look of your body.

Increase the Number of Meals per Day

Eat five or more times per day. Drink plenty of fluids that supply calories like juice, milk, milk shakes and sports drinks. Eat rice, oats, pasta, potatoes, carrots and pumpkin. Add condiments such as yoghurt, cream sauces in common foods and salads. Taking 1000kJ more than your daily needs can lead to gain weight by about 1 kg per week.

Focus on Proteins

Proteins are essential for the body to restore the lost energy reserves. Make sure you include plenty of proteins every time you eat. Try to choose high-calorie protein sources that are relatively mild and do not contain much fiber, for example, from soy or dairy foods. Eat dry fruits daily. Small amounts of nuts like cashews, almonds and raisins are a good source of energy.

What Should You Eat to Gain Weight

1. milk, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese.

2. meat, fish, poultry, eggs, beans, peas, nuts

3. vegetables (fresh, frozen, canned)

4. fruits (fringe, frozen, canned, dried)

5. cereals, bread, rolls, pasta, muffins, pancakes rice.

Drink Alcohol Before Eating

Alcohol may increase your appetite and this way you will be able to eat more than usual. However you should not abuse with alcohol. Drink alcohol only after you have consulted your doctor.

Avoid Stimulants Such as Nicotine and Caffeine

Avoid such stimulants because they stimulate the metabolism of your body and this way do not allow you to keep the best nutritional qualities of the food you eat in your body.

Avoid Exhausting Physical Activities

Try to keep calm and rest. Do not perform any intensive physical activities to let your body relax and restore.

To avoid putting on only fats you may embed in your daily round physical exercises which will contribute to improve your flexibility and grow your muscles.
