I had stress hives that lasted about 4 months

by Ashley Jin Kim

I had stress hives that lasted about 4 months. It started during the time my sisters and I took care of my mother when she became bedridden from cancer. The immense amount of emotional stress and the urgency of taking care of my mother made me so occupied that I barely ever had time to eat, I had to wake up every half hour to take my mother to the bathroom, and had to fight off family that would bring harm to my mother (unintentionally).

The hives hit me all of a sudden one day. It might have been from UTI meds or the radiation in my mother's urine that I had to clean out of a bed pan every hour. In any case it was a nightmare. It looked like exorcist on my neck, chest, arms, etc. Nothing worked except cold showers and keeping my body cool and not overworked (which was impossible during the time I had to take care of my mom.

What really cured it was going to Mexico for a week that was for a wedding. As soon as I went in for snorkeling in the ocean for an hour, the hives were gone after! It was a miracle. I think it was a combination of the sun, relaxing, all the food, and especially the salt water.

So little was known about this and walk in clinic doctors did not believe me. I didn't know anyone who has ever had this until a year later I met another lady with very sensitive skin. During that time I think my immune system was shot and attacking itself.

I had giant hives 24x7 for 23 years

by Judy Darnell

I had giant hives 24x7 for 23 years.

The day I walked out of my house and away from my husband I have never had another hive to this day 14 years later.

Nothing but surpressed anger and walking on eg shells everyday of my life...who knew?

Does stress cause hives? Absolutley!

Chronic Hives

by Amanda Garcia
(Dallas, Texas)

I use to get hives sporadically every week and had to take benadryl almost every day, every 4-6 hours.

It was a nightmare! At the time I had a very stressful job and I didn't eat right. I ate A LOT of sugar (my boyfriend said I would melt in the rain, I was made of sugar) and processed foods like frozen pizza and frozen dinners, and I use to eat a lot of fast food too like fried cheese sticks, tator tots, burgers, and milkshakes.

Well, all that junk turned into a chronic yeast infection that I battled for YEARS. Not to mention I acquired new food allergies too.

I CAN NOT stress enough how important a healthy 90% RAW and ORGANIC diet is. It has changed my life! Fresh vegetables and greens and a little fruit go a long way to cleansing and stabilizing the body.
